What is this?
A replacement for Igoogle.

The name Igiggle didn't get the majority of votes, why was it chosen?
The majority of votes fell on 'none of these names are good', but no one submitted any other suggestions.

Why use Wordpress?
Wordpress has a friendly UI, extensive documentation and huge availability of widgets.

When will the 1.0 version be released?
I really don't know.

How much does it cost to use Igiggle?
Nothing! Igiggle is free and open-source code for everyone to use, modify and share.

Can I change the colors, background, etc.
Yes, background, menu and color-settings can be found in the WP appearance menu.

Can I add Google Gadgets?
No, not yet.

Why does Igoogle have more options and features?
Because a team of professional developers at Google have been working on it since 2005.

Where can I get more widgets?
Here's some widget-releated plugins here http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/widget

The code is messy! How can you publish this?

This is a 'scratch an itch' project. No professional developers are involved (yet). You've seen the code, perhaps you can help clean it up.

How can I contribute?
Send me an e-mail if you want to help with development or just help spread the word on you social media, blog or similar.

Why aren't you using Github or Sourceforge?
If more developers join, the project will move to Github, but at the moment with only one developer, this model works fine.

  1. Have you tried http://www.ighome.com?

  2. Would love to use this, but am getting the following error:

Notice: Undefined variable: control_ops in /usr/www/users/[username]/[sitename]/wp-content/themes/igiggle/functions.php on line 280

  3. Problem may have resulted from trying to install this theme into multi-site installation.

    1. Hi Karen. I was unable to reproduce the error, but I'm glad to hear you've found a fix.

    2. I don't think the problem was due to multi-site. I think I had installed a bad plug-in. I deleted it and everything works OK now. Sorry for the false alarm.

I like your iGiggle RSS Widget. Can't seem to get it out of DEMO mode, though.
